A special microcontroller technology is used for measuring the salinity in three ranges from 2 ppt to 50 ppt and the appropriate range is automatically selected by the instrument. In the lowest range, the resolution is 0.001 ppt to 1 ppm. On a digital display, the cell constant is flashed and can be adjusted from the front panel. The automatic measurement of cell constant can also be measured with a known standard solution. This instrument is ideal for monitoring salt contents in water and soluble salts in soils.
